Air spring is a column of rubber and fabric, which contains air confined within it. The movement of this air creates a spring-like effect. It helps in keeping the vehicle at a steady height irrespective of how much load is on it. A faulty air spring can cause:

  • Rough drive
  • Vehicle tends to be saggy on one side
  • Difficulty in managing the car
  • Damage to the alignment angles

The average lifespan of air springs is about 100,000 to 150,000 kilometers. But this can differ based on the average amount of weight carried in the car and such other factors. Usually, when you transport heavy loads, the air springs will become stiffer.
